Obsidian Shadow of the Forest

Heavenly Ally of the Woods grew up in a small hunting village in the southeast. He was good friends with the Chief’s Son, Vermillion Habiliment, and they often would hunt together. On one ill-fated hunting trip, Habiliment was scouting ahead when a Stalker leapt from the trees and attacked him. Woods quickly fired off an arrow after  arrow, but in his haste failed to kill the stalker before it sliced Habiliment's throat.
While Woods carried Habiliment back to the village, the encounter with the stalker was continually running through his head. Each time he would think of a different way he could have saved his friend. Upon returning to the village he was blamed for Habiliments death and declared outcast. Gathering his few belongings he fled into the forest in the direction of Lookshy. Pushing himself to the breaking point he continued northward, fearing to stop and rest as every-time he tried he relieved the events of his friends death in this dreams(he continues to have nightmares to this day), until he collapsed just south of Thorns.

A group of resistance fighters found him and nursed him back to health. Out of gratitude and having nothing else to live for he joined the resistance as a scout. Quickly establishing himself as an able scout he was tasked with finding away into the Mask of Winters stronghold and discovering his plans against the Resistance. Against all odds, he managed to sneak in and find the plans and sneak back out into the city.
At which point he exalted as a day caste Solar, unfortunately a group of 3 death-knights stationed near the exit saw his Exaltation and quickly attacked him. He attempted to flee but was unable to escape the death-knights, who quickly drained his power and brought him to the brink of death. They then bound him and lead him to the Mask of Winters, who gave him a choice become a death-knight or death.

Woods chose death, but the Mask had other plans and had him tortured. After being tortured for over a month he finally gave in and agreed to become a death-knight. At which point he took the name Obsidian Shadow of the Forest. His first task as a death-knight was to assassinate the leaders of the resistance. He was granted the use of a Soulsteel Long Powerbow and a set of Silken armor in his mission.

Shadow set out for the resistance base, but as he stepped into the daylight his skin immediately began to burn, a side effect of the torture and conversion to abyssalness. After covering himself in the heaviest cloak he could find he found it slightly bearable and set out. Upon arriving at the base he sought out the leaders and brutally murderer them, he can still see the look of betrayal on their faces in his dreams. As he killed the last of them something inside of him snapped, and he broke down and curled up in a corner of the base.

He was still sitting there when a strange fish-smelling man showed up, whom he felt a strange connection too. (enter dialogue here). They agreed to set out for Naraka together, along the way they stumbled onto a fire manse which Shadow attuned to.

The Hidden Fire Stones: A ring of Stone Pillars around a Terracotta pedestal. Deep in the forest where you could only find it by stumbling into it. To anyone not standing in the manse or attuned to it the pillars appear to be trees. The manse produces a Memorial Iron on the Pedestal.

Blessed Home of the Hunter: Is Designed to look like a beautiful tree from the outside, and is part of a node group of manses outside of Naraka. On the inside the manse is always a comfortable climate. The walls are made of the finest wood in the East and are a deep reddish color(think Cherry-wood), everything in the manse is made of wood and is expertly made for comfort. The hearthstone bearer is served by wooden automaton who also insures that the manse is always running in perfect order, and defends the manse from intruders. The manse is also equipped with a garden that can grow a verity of edible plants allowing the hearthstone bearer and up to 20 others survive indefinitely in the manse. Produces a gladestalker stone.
