House Rules
Use 2.5 fix. Stat a starting renegade Abyssal or a starting Lunar. Lunars start with 9/7/5 attributes.
Excellencies:
Characters have access to all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd excellencies they qualify for
Combos:
are free (no XP costs)
Specialties:
Unlimited, but still capped at a total bonus of 3 per roll
Virtues:
Roll primary Virtue to regain WP after sleeping
Crafting:
is only one stat with an unlimited number of specialties (still capped at 3)
Thaumaturgy:
XP cost equal to the next degree (1st degree=1xp, 2nd degree=2xp, etc)
Equipment:
Non-magitech armor costs are halved (round down)
1 dot armor remains the original cost but gives a 2xp refund
Hearthstone bonuses apply as long as the stone is on a character's person or socketed
Training times:
(Ability or Attribute requirement) days, half that with a trainer. This only applies to native Charms. MA and sorcery TBA.
Non-charm training times as listed.

Do hearthstone bonuses still apply if it's a non-Abyssal hearthstone not socketed in soulsteel? I have a weapon with a socket, but I have a soulsteel amulet anyway. Can I get away without the amulet or get a refund for a weapon variant lacking its socket?

Any aspect hearthstone grants a bonus when socketed in any attuned artifact (even out-of type materials, like jade) or when in contact with a character, so as long as your character can carry the hearthstone on his person he doesn't need an amulet to get bonuses.

I'm houseruling all specialties; they're unlimited but still capped at a max bonus of three per roll.

* Specialty : 2/1 XPs (1)
* Native-level Magics : 10/8 XPs (includes Charms and spells)
* Unfavorable magic : 9 XPs (includes heretical Charms, Infernal spells, and Knacks)
* Superior Magics : 12/10 XPs (includes mortals learning TMA and TCS, or Db learning CMAs)
* Essence : Rating × 8 XPs
* Virtue : 3~2 XPs
* Willpower : 3 XPs
* Backgrounds up to 3 dots : 3 XPs
* 4th and 5th dots of background : 3~4 XPs
* Combo : sum of minimums
* Stuff not on this list already : normally it's the old XP cost.
That's as much of it as I have.
